Supermarché G20
Located right near campus (5 min walk). Perfect for quick grocery runs, fresh produce, bread, snacks, and daily essentials.
Directions & InfoLe Spot Évry (Carrefour)
The major shopping mall in Évry-Courcouronnes (10–12 min walk / 1 stop RER D). Features a massive Carrefour hypermarket for lower prices, cookware, electronics, clothing, plus 150+ stores.

The Rits (Restaurant de l'Institut Télécom SudParis)
Located right next to the U7 building. Serves meals for ~4€ per meal. Recommended if you don't have much time between classes. Opening hours: 11:30 – 14:00, Monday to Friday. Takeaway (food to go) is available.

Located near the U6 building. Offers a complete meal (starter, main course, cheese, and dessert) for only 1€. Payment requires installing the Izly app and logging in with your MesServices Étudiant account.

- Bring reusable shopping bags (Sac Cabas): Single-use plastic bags are not provided for free at French checkout counters (~0.15€–0.30€). Keep a reusable cloth bag in your backpack.
- Anti-Food-Waste Apps (Too Good To Go): Download Too Good To Go on your phone to buy surplus food baskets from local bakeries and supermarkets around Évry for just 3€ to 5€.

Laveries & Laundry Facilities in Maisel Buildings
Every Maisel building (U1 to U7) has access to laundry facilities so you can wash and dry your clothes conveniently on campus.
Where Laundry Rooms (Laveries) are Located:
Buildings U1, U2 & U4
Singular laundry room located on the ground floor (RDC) of Building U4.
Building U3
Ground floor (RDC) dedicated laundry room.
Building U5
Floor -1 (basement), at the end of the corridor on the right side when exiting the elevator.
Building U6
Ground floor (RDC) laundry facility.
Building U7
Ground floor (RDC) laundry facility.
How to Use the Laundry Facilities:
- Payment Method: Payment is strictly via contactless payment (contactless bank card or smartphone with Apple Pay / Google Pay). Cash and coins are not accepted.
- Detergent (Lessive): Detergent is automatically included in the washing machines. There is no need to bring your own!
- Free Dryers (Sèche-linge): Tumble dryers in the laundry rooms are completely free to use.

France enforces waste sorting rules. Keeping your residence clean and recycling properly helps campus stay clean and pleasant for everyone.

In front of the building, just on the right side of the entrance.
Building U3
On the left side of the entrance (large bin area).
Building U5
Near the main entrance.

Waste Sorting Guide (Tri Sélectif):
Yellow Bin (Bac Jaune): Recyclables
Plastic bottles, food containers, tin cans, drink cartons, paper, cardboard, and metal lids. Do NOT put food waste or organic trash in the yellow bin.
Bordeaux / Red Bin (Bac Ordures Ménagères): Household Waste
Non-recyclable household waste, food scraps, dirty food wrappers, and hygiene products. Always tie your trash bags securely before depositing them in the red/bordeaux bin.
Glass Containers (Conteneurs à Verre)
Glass bottles, jars, and glass containers. There is a single dedicated glass collection container located right in front of Building U5 (never put glass in room or standard bins).
Never leave trash bags in hallways: use the designated bins and close bags securely.
Step 4: Pharmacies, Post & Extras

Everything you need to know about getting medical supplies, receiving mail, and picking up online packages.
Pharmacies & Health Supplies
The nearest pharmacy is Pharmacie des Épinettes (just a short walk from campus). Pharmacists in France can give advice on minor health issues, cold medication, and over-the-counter remedies.
Receiving Letters & Mail
Every student room has an assigned mailbox at the building entrance. Make sure your full name (matching your lease) is clearly labeled on your mailbox for La Poste delivery.
Package & Online Deliveries
The Maisel residence does NOT accept package deliveries on your behalf. You must be present in person to receive your package by hand when the delivery driver arrives (for example, Amazon delivery drivers cannot enter residence buildings). Alternatively, you can use pickup relay points (Points Relais) or lockers near campus.
